when you join The Outlook Group!

We are a  friendly and relaxed group for older people to get together over a cup of tea/coffee and we have different activities every week.

Outlook is a great way to catch up with friends or to meet new people for a friendly chat. We regularly invite guest speakers, and there are opportunities join in bingo, quizzes, games and sing songs, but there’s no obligation to join in if you don’t wish to, you can just watch, listen and laugh.  We also hold tabletop sales and raffles to boost our funds and help subsidise the transportation costs for outings.  

 We have outings to restaurants, garden centres, shopping centres and other places of interest.  Occasionally a fish and chip lunch is arranged which is always popular. We also hold a free Christmas Party for members each year.

According to Age UK socialising helps relieve stress and is extremely good for your mental health and well-being.

We are always looking for people with new ideas for group activities so give us a try. We love meeting new people and you will be made very welcome by our existing friendly members

 A small weekly fee of £3.00 is payable, slightly more if there is a guest speaker.  Outings are priced accordingly.

We meet most Thursdays at The Palace, High Street, in Ibstock from 10.30 – 12.30.
