Karen and Jon gave a fascinating and very instructive presentation on the work of RSPCA Woodside. RSPCA Woodside provides Rehabilitation and Rehoming for dogs and cats Rescued by the national RSPCA, and for injured or abandoned animals. They have a full veterinary clinic and a dedicated team of both paid and volunteer dog- and cat-carers. Last month (February 2026) they rehomed 21 cats and 10 dogs: last year (2025) they rehomed 351 animals, each to carefully matched new owners. There is also an adoption scheme whereby dogs and cats can be temporarily rehomed while the search continues for a permanent carer.
But RSPCA Woodside is an entirely independent local charity relying on donations and other fundraising sources including their Charity Shop at the Animal Centre on Scudamore Road, Leicester. Outlook Group members were very generous today with both cash donations and gifts of goods for the charity shop.
